"Any other new kid that came to L.C.S. would think that this school is just like any other school. You know, good friends, people to avoid, nice teachers, (but maybe not all!) all the components of an ordinary school. But not in my view. My view of this school is heaven, compared to my other school. I mean, yeah I had a best friend or two. But here at Lincoln, there are friends for everyone and people don’t have to stay in a certain friend group, they can jump around if you know what I mean. At this school, you can say “no I don’t want to do this”, or “lets do that instead” without being judged. As I sit in class I realize that the teachers know what they are teaching us and it is obvious that they understand it. Well, I could go on forever, or I could leave you with this - I am sure that most other new students at LCS feel the same way as I do, and if that does not prove anything, then take it from me, Lincoln Community School is one of a kind."

"Being a student at Lincoln Community School has been, and still is, a wondrous experience. Lincoln, is a family. In all my education I believe LCS is the school where community spirit is the strongest. That is a major plus for the establishment. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone gets along, well enough. However LCS doesn’t only have a wonderful community feeling, the school is a place of learning both in, and out of the classroom. The school offers the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP), three rigorous programs that prepare it’s students for college and the “real world.”
Lincoln excels in its out-of-classroom education. It offers a wide range of different after-school activities, from basket weaving, to karate, to film production, to varsity sports, Lincoln has every aspect of CAS (Creativity Action Service) fully covered. Not only does the school offer these amazing opportunities but it also insists that students get involved in leadership positions. Students are encouraged to lead their own after-school activities. I personally run the Film Production after school activity with one of my class mates.
Students are encouraged to take up leadership positions within service organizations that regularly visit an orphanage, a school for the mentally disabled, various facilities to work work street kids and vulnerable children or local public schools to tutor children. I am actively involved in working with the orphanage and there are trips to every other week where students play with orphan babies, toddlers and teens. Within the organization students can take roles such as President, Vice President, Publicity Manager.
Also, I am a swimmer and soccer player and all I can say is that there is so much to do. It’s great.
All in all, I have enjoyed the three years I have spent at this school and am looking forward to a great senior year, both in and out of the classroom."

"Although
I realized this only after I left, Lincoln Community School has helped
me in many ways to adapt to college life. While working towards the IB
Diploma, I was one who constantly complained about the continuous hard
work that was required and I questioned whether the it was worth the
effort. Now, after my first year of college, I can confidently say
that it was as it gave me a good background for many of the courses I
have taken so far in college.
As a Biology major in
university, I feel as though the IB Biology courses I took at Lincoln
were imperative for my success at the University level. Without them I
would have been quite behind and befuddled. The knowledge I acquired
helped keep me on track and gave me the background I needed to be able
to "survive" Bio 150 and Bio 160. I have noticed that those in my
Biology course who do not have this strong background, have either
dropped the class or had to work much harder throughout the semester to
absorb the material needed to understand the lectures."
