Welcome to the LCS Web Page! As the Secondary School Principal, I urge you to take a few minutes to browse through the details about the Grades 6-12 portion of the school that are contained on this site. I believe you will be impressed with the ‘international flavor’ and academic excellence that is depicted.
Our school welcomes students from over 40 nations and provides instruction with a staff that hails from 14 different countries. We are proud to state that we are an International Baccalaureate School, authorized to offer the Middle Years Program (for students in Grade 6-10) and the Diploma Program for 11th and 12th graders. The IB regime offers a wonderful mélange of educational opportunities that prompt students to become critical thinkers and collaborative problem-solvers. The staff takes great pride in preparing educational experiences that capture student imagination and presents them with challenges that will well-prepare them for higher education and life.
In addition to the rich academic experience available in the Secondary School of LCS, our students have a chance to participate in a wide variety of activities, athletics, and extra-curricular events. Students learn to work with their classmates to address substantial issues through the Student Representative Council, National (and Junior) Honor Society, the Model United Nations, and other organizations. Through IB Creativity-Action-Service (CAS) participation, students support our community in Accra while furthering personal needs. On any given day, the campus is filled with enthusiastic students and staff members working to achieve individual and organizational goals. It’s never ‘dull’ at Lincoln!
I hope that this web page will answer most of your questions about our school. If you are searching for a quality school in Ghana, where teachers focus on students and student opportunities for intellectual development abound, this is the place. Enjoy your browsing!
