Primary Years Programme
The Elementary School's program at Lincoln is grounded on the belief that every child can experience success. We strive to provide an emotionally and physically safe learning environment that promotes each student's social, emotional, and academic development. We believe it is our responsibility to develop our students into the leaders of tomorrow. As such, we use the IBO's Learner Profile as the beacon guiding our practice. We aim to inspire a passion for learning while challenging our students to become internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
Using the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Program framework, we have created and implemented a successful inquiry-based academic program that meets the individual needs of all students from preschool through grade five. Our program includes instruction in the core curricular areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as in the specialist areas of Art, Music, PE, French, Technology and Media Services. In addition to the core academic classes, students are also supported through the EAL, Learning Support, and our Counseling departments.
We are proud of our program, its ambitious goals, our teaching staff who strives to continually learn and grow, and our very supportive parents who entrust their children to our care. We invite you to pay us a visit and see for yourself what makes Lincoln the place to learn and grow!
