GHANA MUST READ (LCS CHAPTER) VISITS CHILDREN LIBRARY
The LCS Chapter of Ghana Must Read; an organisation that seeks to promote literacy education in the ten (10) regions of Ghana, visited a children's library in Adabraka, last Saturday, April 22nd.
Excited to share the love of reading with children in the Adabraka community of Greater Accra Region, students in LCS, ranging from Grade 9 to 12: Ridhima Shrivastava, Sarah Sathyamoorthy, Adoma Addo, Dorjohn Boakye, Khensane Mawela, Maame Ama Boadi, Naki Williams, Carlotta Harper and Agnita Agyepong were happy to sit with these other children to share the love they have for reading
Mr. Boateng (CAS coordinator) and Miss Ann Adu-Darko chaperoned the trip. Mrs. Lori Eller (head librarian of both MS and HS libraries) came to support this project. Just before leaving, the students of LCS (Ghana Must Read) donated books to the children's library.
It was a wonderful way to make an impact in the lives of these children in Adabraka, which is sure to rouse them up to, pick up the habit of reading. Ghana Must Read is running as a CAS club on LCS campus and every student (Middle to High school) are welcome to join in on their literacy outreaches.
