Last week, LCS had a mid-year art show (ArtFresh 2024). This was not the art show for the IB art students which occurs later in the year but instead for high school students from grades 9 - 11 coming to the end of their first semester and showing off what they’ve learned so far this year. Each student had an array of work on display mostly using media that was new to them this year.
Explanatory text was placed alongside the artwork to explain the creative process and the artists themselves were also on hand to discuss their challenges. It was a proud moment for the students, their parents, LCS and our High School art teacher, Ms. Fernandez who is new to LCS this year.
