LCS Students Take Action to Positively Impact Their Local Community During Covid-19.


LCS Students Partner with ESKA Foundation to Support Local Children

Siblings, Shivv and Krsna Jagtiani alongside sisters Suhani and Shania Midha organized a collection of clothes, toys, books, and other items and donated to ESKA Foundation in order to help local children who have been affected by COVID-19. These LCS students plan to continue working with ESKA Foundation by initiating a variety of projects. The news coverage about their significant contributions will inspire you. Medaase Masks@medaasemask

LCS student, Rudra Raj Singh, identified a need and took action. His goal: to provide quality masks to protect doctors working with COVID-19 patients at Korle-Bu Hospital. Funding for this initiative was applied for through our LCS Loyalty Card Grant program.

The masks were purchased from local manufacturer, Heritage Masks, who have played a pivotal role in providing Ghanaian medical staff with masks. Their products are FDA approved and well made to protect health care workers.

After focused discussions with Heritage Masks, an agreement was concluded to manufacture masks for the project. Each mask produced costs 20 Ghana cedis. Heritage Masks agreed to donate additional masks in support of the initiative as well.
