LCS Varsity Girls Basketball teams traveled to Lagos to participate in the annual WAISAL tournament. The girls had high hopes after winning the LCS Invitational tournament. It was clear from the start that our girls would have a big chance to retain their title from the previous year. The girls qualified for the Final with a 4 wins, 1 loss record.The championship game was against a strong Abidjan team that had been the only team to beat our Lions in the previous rounds.

The Village of Hope orphanage club made its last visit of the semester this week.Led by co President Hawi, 3 girls and 8 boys were at their usual best. They had math and English sessions with 25 of VoH students. It was admirable watching as our students helped a lot of the students who were struggling to understand the comprehension passages and multiplication problems.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, School Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of parent, student, teacher and class tech enthusiasts, crafters, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, and artists.

On Friday and Saturday, 17 and 18 November, Lincoln Community School played host to swimmers from seven other West African countries in one of the biggest WAISAL tournaments ever for any sport.

Prior to the month of November, the Operation Smile club has been preparing feverishly to undertake another tour and trip of Operation Smile Ghana mission work. This was a build up to a previous trip taken last April. Two trips were taken:

On Wednesday September 26, a combination of new ​and old members of VOH club went to visit the Orphanage ​at Pokuase for a guided tour of their facilities. They mainly ​cater to street children between the ages of 13 to 19 years ​and take them through 3 years of literacy and skills training ​development

The new academic year was celebrated in style at the annual Family Day Picnic on August 26th. This annual event, sponsored by PTO and Advancement Office, brings new and returning families to campus for an afternoon of games, face-painting, and bouncy castles.

The Global Politics Studies class had a surprise guest this month. Alumnus, Laura Ersek '14 presented to class 1 and 2, work she is currently doing at her internship with Global Communities, an NGO in Accra. ​

The LCS MS and HS libraries reminds you that we are open Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 4:30pm.The MS Library only admits students after school if they have signed up for 'library time' as an after-school activity. This session runs from 3:30-4:30 daily.

Part of our school vision is to connect with the community. Today the 9th and 10th graders had an opportunity to interact with the executive director of Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival Mr Mark Saul. Julia Robinson Mathematic Festival partner with the National Museum of mathematics to provide mathematics curricula through math circle and clubs to reach more than 1000 students in New York, San Francisco Bay area and Washington DC

MISE is nonprofit organisation dedicated to nurturing young people who demonstrate exceptional talent in mathematics. MISE administers the Math Olympiad Program (MOP) which seeks to enrich the education of our nation's top mathematical talents and eventually.....

This years Lincoln Factor reminded us of the incredible talent among the students of LCS. The third annual Lincoln Factor featured singers, musicians and dancers from grades 6 to 12 that wowed the audience as well as the four judges.
