Dear LCS Alumni,

During the 2025-26 school year, our whole school community has been living out the idea of Nkabom — togetherness, unity, the sense that we belong to each other. We built the year around three simple ideas: Agency, Service, and Belonging. The more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realised: nobody embodies “Belonging” quite like our alumni do.

You were part of this place long before we gave it that name. The traditions we hold onto, the values we try to teach every single day — so much of it carries a little bit of you in it still. That’s the thing about LCS: once this is home, it stays home. Graduating doesn’t close that door. It just means you start walking through it a little differently.

Which is why I’m genuinely excited to share something new with you: we’ve just launched an alumni engagement initiative, built simply to keep you close to us, and close to each other. Wherever you’ve ended up in the world, whatever you’re building there — we’d love for LCS to stay woven into your story. A place to come back to, lean on, and hopefully pour back into as well.

This is only the start. Over the coming months, you’ll start seeing more ways to reconnect — through events, networks, mentoring, and plain old catching up. Because a school isn’t only made by the people inside it today. It’s made by every single person who’s ever called it home, all stitched together across the years.

I am so proud of who you’ve become. As we close this chapter and open the next one, I want you to know — our story isn’t complete without you in it. It just keeps going, with you.

Welcome home. Always.

With warmth and pride,

Lesley Tait
