The LCS PTO
If you are a new parent at Lincoln Community School, the LCS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) warmly welcomes you to our community. We understand that settling into a new school can feel overwhelming, especially if you have recently moved to Ghana, but you are not alone. The LCS PTO is here to support you every step of the way.
There are many ways to connect and build friendships within our school. At the start of each academic year, new families can meet others during Orientation Day, while the annual Welcome Brunch offers a great opportunity to connect with returning parents.
One of the best ways to get involved is through the LCS Welcome Committee, a friendly and supportive group of parents dedicated to helping you settle in. They can introduce you to the school community, guide you around the city, and help you feel at home as you begin participating in the many activities and events throughout the year.
The PTO is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all families joining our international school in Accra. To help you get familiar with the city, we recommend the No Worries Guide, published by the Ghana-based North American Women’s Association, an excellent resource for navigating life in Accra.
