At LCS I was…
Always trying to be part of the larger community. I actively participated in student leadership, sports teams, Model United Nations, and other opportunities to engage with the student body.
My Favourite LCS Memory
Winning the 2022/23 WAISAL Volleyball Tournament. The final was a true underdog story, and the experience brought me closer to many students I hadn’t interacted with much before. It showed me how far a dedicated and collaborative team can go.
What LCS Taught Me
LCS taught me to approach people, situations, and ideas with an open mind. We often form opinions based on our experiences, values, or assumptions, but being willing to genuinely hear another person’s perspective—and accept that we might be wrong—is essential for growth.
Throughout my time at LCS, I learned the value of understanding different perspectives rather than simply trying to prove my own point. That openness to different ideas, beliefs, and ways of thinking is something I continue to appreciate and carry with me today.
Advice for Students
Try a lot of new things and put yourself in uncomfortable situations. These are some of the best ways to discover your interests and develop as a person. If you stick only to what you know and what feels familiar, you limit your ability to grow and set yourself apart—whether in college applications, your future career, or life more broadly.
