Celebrating the Class of 2026: Excellence, Impact, and Agency

LCS Advancement Office

We are bursting with pride to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Class of 2026 – a group of students who have shown, time and again, what it means to lead with both intellect and heart.

This year’s results tell a remarkable story. Our graduates delivered IB results that far surpass global averages, secured around $4 million in scholarships, and exercised real agency in choosing the universities that best fit their goals. But numbers only tell part of the story.

What truly sets this class apart is how they’ve used their education to make a difference – recognition that culminated in two prestigious Association of International Schools of Africa (AISA) awards, selected from a pool of high-caliber students at international schools across the continent.

Recognized Across a Continent

Being chosen for an AISA award is no small feat – these honors recognize the very best students from international schools throughout Africa. This year, two of our own stood out.

The AISA Award for Excellence

This award recognizes a student who exemplifies AISA’s mission through academic achievement, leadership, integrity, and service. Our recipient embodies exactly that: consistent academic excellence paired with meaningful contributions to the LCS community, and the initiative to make a positive impact well beyond the classroom.

The AISA Outstanding Community Engagement Experience Award

This award honors a student-led project that creates meaningful, lasting change – locally or globally. Our recipient’s project tackled environmental sustainability while simultaneously empowering women in the wider community, a dual impact that speaks to real leadership and compassion in action.

Excellence, Lived Daily

At LCS, academic excellence isn’t a slogan – it’s lived every single day, in our classrooms and beyond. These results and awards are a testament to three things working in concert: our students’ dedication and hard work, the unwavering support of our exceptional educators, and the shared values that define our school community.

The Class of 2026 didn’t just perform well on paper. They led projects that changed lives, made deliberate choices about their futures, and represented LCS on an international stage. That’s the kind of outcome that comes from an education built around more than test scores – and it’s exactly the kind of outcome we’re committed to for every class that follows.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
