Our Elementary School is home to children in Pre-k to Grade 5 (4 - 10 Years old). We care deeply about each of the children with whom we have the privilege of working. We know that young children are intrinsically motivated to learn. Every teacher, teaching assistant and administrator supports each child to sustain this love of learning.

Our LCS mission drives everything we do.

Learn | Lead | Connect

To grow, serve and thrive.

When we learn, we grow
We create a stimulating environment where children develop strategies and understandings of how to think and learn, both academically and socially-emotionally. By inquiring and communicating together, we bring out the best in each other. Therefore, sharing our questions, thoughts and theories is a daily part of the learning process at Lincoln. Together, we achieve more.

When we lead, we serve
Every child brings strengths to his or her community. Children are empowered to be courageous and curious members of their community – open-minded inquirers and thinkers. Building on their knowledge they can make principled decisions to care for each other and themselves. Students are supported in exercising their agency and become confident and capable to take student-initiated action.

When we connect, we thrive
We show compassion and empathy. We act to make a positive difference in the lives of ourselves and others. We create a culture of mutual respect, acknowledging the rights and responsibilities of students, school and the wider learning community.

We are guided by our Values:

♦ The more we do together, the more we achieve.
♦ Be kind: it opens doors and minds.
♦ Don’t tell me how it’s done.  Let me try.
♦ Whatever happens, it’s what you do next that matters.

Be safe. Be kind. Be Generous.
