Poetry Month & A New Painting!

The month of April is popularly celebrated as Poetry Month across Libraries and to join in this celebration, the HS library staff invited the High School staff & students to submit poems they particularly enjoyed.

From Shakespeare to Bob Dylan, the entries submitted are sure to increase one’s love for poetry.

Displayed on the bulletin board just outside the library, students and staff are encouraged to pause for a moment to savor each poem.

New to the library is also a beautiful painting by Merna Abu Baker, our Grade 12 student who says this painting is inspired by the view just outside the window of her home in Jordan.

Be sure to stop by the library to view both the bulletin board full of poems as well as this beautiful painting by Merna Abu Baker.
